What’s included in an SEO package in Ireland, and what its limits mean
An Irish SEO package might list 10 keywords, five pages or two branches. Those numbers count different parts of the job. Before you compare prices, find out which searches they’ll work on, which pages they’ll change and what you’ll get each month. A longer keyword list doesn’t tell you how much useful work you’re buying.

An SEO package in Ireland usually buys three things: work on your website, work on your Google Business Profile and listings, and a monthly report. The numbers in the quote are limits on that work. “10 keywords” might mean 10 phrases checked in a report, not 10 jobs done. So compare the written list of work, not the counts.
Both offers as published on the agencies’ own websites, checked on 31 October 2026, excluding VAT. The price range is from our check of what 10 Irish SEO providers charge.
What a keyword limit actually covers
“Keywords” can mean three different things in an SEO quote. A good quote says which one it means.
| In the quote | What it usually means | What to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Tracked keyword | A search checked in the monthly report | Checked in which town, on mobile or desktop, and on Maps or the normal results? |
| Target keyword | A search they plan to improve | Which page will win it, and what work goes into that page? |
| Researched keyword | A search found during planning | Does research lead to new pages, or just a list? |
| Page allowance | Pages written or changed | New or existing pages? Writing, publishing and revisions included? |
| Branch or location | A real branch, a town you serve, or a web page | Which of the three is the extra fee for? |
| Monthly deliverable | Work due every month | Is it every month, or once in the first term? |
Irish searches add a wrinkle. People search with the town: “accountant Cork”, “accountant Douglas”, “accountant near me”. Ask whether each town counts as a separate keyword, and whether Google Maps and the normal results count once or twice. Counting methods differ from one provider to the next, so get the answer in writing.
Do more keywords mean more pages?
Not necessarily. Searches that ask for the same thing can share one page. Google says its language matching systems “can understand how your page relates to many queries”, and that you don’t need to worry about every variation of how someone might search (Google’s SEO Starter Guide).
Take an Irish accountancy practice. “Accountant SEO package pricing”, “SEO for accountants cost Ireland” and “accountant SEO agency fees” all ask the same question. One good page answers all three. A separate page for each wording would repeat itself.
The services the practice sells are different. Bookkeeping, payroll and tax returns are separate jobs with separate customers, so each may need its own page. That’s the difference worth paying for: a page for each service people search for, not a page for each way of saying it. Our guide to writing a service page that ranks shows what goes on each one, and our page on SEO for accountants covers the trade.
What counts as a page in the package
“5 pages” can mean five very different amounts of work. Before you compare two quotes, ask:
- New pages or existing ones?Writing a new service page is a bigger job than improving the title and text of an old one.
- Which kind of page?A service page, a page for a town you cover, and a blog post do different jobs. Count them separately.
- What’s included in each page?Research, writing, photos, publishing, links from your other pages and a round of changes. Or only the text, for you to put up yourself?
- Every month, or once?Is the number a monthly allowance, or the total for the first term?
- What happens once the useful pages exist?A page quota needs a plan for when there’s nothing useful left to write.
What changes when you add another branch
Many Irish packages charge extra for more locations. Before you pay it, check what the “location” is.
- A real branchStaff and customers at a second address. It can have its own Google Business Profile. Google says not to create more than one profile for each location, and a business with no storefront gets only one, with a service area.
- A town you serveNot a branch. It may deserve a page with real local detail, but it doesn’t need branch pricing.
- A page about a townPart of the page allowance. Ask whether it’s counted there or charged as a location.
Ask what the extra fee covers: the second profile, its own reviews and posts, separate pages, separate reporting, or all of these.
Example: an accountant with two offices
Offices in Cork city and Mallow, each with staff and opening hours. That’s two branches, so two Google profiles and a page for each office are worth paying for.
Example: a linen hire firm with one depot
One depot in Limerick, with vans collecting from hotels across Clare and Kerry. That’s one branch with a wide service area. Pay for pages about the routes and customers you serve, not for branches that don’t exist.
Examples to show the questions, not client results or quotes.
What useful monthly work looks like
Ten tracked phrases aren’t ten improvements. A useful monthly report shows what changed, why, and how you’ll know it worked. Something like this:
| Page | Why | What was done | Next check |
|---|---|---|---|
| New payroll services page | Payroll had no page of its own | Written, published and linked from the homepage | Indexed in Search Console within a few weeks |
| Bookkeeping page | Shown for searches but rarely clicked | New title and description naming Cork and the price range | Clicks in Search Console next month |
| Contact form | Leads weren’t being counted | Form and phone tracking set up and tested | Leads counted in the next report |
Put the work next to the results: searches in Search Console, and real calls and forms. The work is what you can check this month. The leads take longer: see how long SEO takes in Ireland.
Compare two packages before choosing
Two live Irish offers show why counts don’t compare directly. One agency’s starter plan is €599 a month for up to 10 target keywords, on-page SEO for 5 core pages and one blog post a month, on a rolling monthly agreement. Another sells a one-off €895 setup: an audit plus fixes on up to 10 pages, schema, Google Business Profile and Search Console. Both exclude VAT. One counts monthly work, the other a one-off job, so neither is “cheaper per page”. Weighing a one-off job against monthly work? Our guide does an SEO audit include the fixes? compares the two.
Put each quote into the same template:
| Check | What to write down from each quote |
|---|---|
| Keywords | The exact phrases, whether they’re researched, tracked or worked on, and which towns and devices count |
| Pages | New or existing, how many, monthly or for the whole term, and whether publishing is included |
| Changes | Technical fixes, Google profile work and content listed separately, with who does each |
| Coverage | Services, towns and real branches included, and the fee for each extra branch |
| Reporting | Changes made, searches that matter, and how they count a lead |
| Commitment | Same period and VAT basis (23% in Ireland), setup fee, required extras, notice and minimum term |
Then add up what each one costs over the minimum term, with VAT on both. The quote calculator in our guide to choosing an SEO agency in Ireland does that for up to three quotes.
How our plans handle the work
Our plans don’t sell a keyword count. Each one lists the pages and the work line by line, and the monthly report counts the calls and forms they bring in.
- Related searches share a pageWe group searches that ask the same thing, and plan a page for each service and town worth one. From Lead engine up, that’s a full topical map of what your customers search.
- Pages in each plan, for the whole termGet found includes 4 service pages, 3 location pages and 10 blog posts over its 1-month term. Lead engine includes 8, 8 and 20 over 2 months, and Area dominance 12, 15 and 30 over 3 months.
- BranchesArea dominance includes up to 2 branches. Extra branches are €200 a month each.
- No promises we can’t keepWe promise the work in your plan, not a ranking or a number of leads.
Prices start at €250 a month plus VAT, with no setup fees. All the details are on our current SEO plans and prices page, and how our SEO service works explains the process.

Questions people ask
Something else on your mind? Email info@leadsireland.com.
Does a 10-keyword package mean I can only rank for 10 searches?
No. It’s the provider’s limit, not Google’s. A page can show for many searches it doesn’t name word for word. Ask whether the 10 limits what they research, what they report on or what they actually work on.
Are unlimited keywords better?
Only if the work is clear. A longer list doesn’t tell you how many pages will be written or fixed. Ask what will change on your website each month, and how they pick what comes first.
Do I need a page for each keyword?
No. Searches that ask for the same thing can share one page. Different services, like bookkeeping and payroll for an accountant, may each need their own page.
Are the pages in an SEO package delivered every month?
Read the quote. Ask whether the number means new pages or improvements to existing ones, and whether it’s per month or a total for the first term.
Does another town count as another branch?
Not usually. A town you serve, a page about that town and a real branch with its own staff are different things. Ask how the provider defines a branch before you pay extra for one.
How much does an SEO package cost in Ireland?
In our check of 10 Irish providers that publish prices, most charged €500 to €1,500 a month for local SEO, usually plus 23% VAT. Our plans are €250, €450 or €900 a month plus VAT.
